I thought this assignment was good for us to learn
ourselves and what we can do in our lives or our futures. And creating a blog
it was a really good idea because I can express my feeling to others. I felt OK about blogging everything. My thought about making comments on other blogs, it
was really a great idea. My thought about comments I received that it was good
because they help me to correct the wrong thing and they said their opinion on
it. I like my essay and I feel good about it.

lesson 10
I believe in
Islam
I have asked
myself why I believe in Islam. When I asked the question to myself, the reply I
received was, for the same reason which I believe in anything, because it is
the truth. In my view, the central doctrine of all religions is the existence
of God and man’s relationship with him, so that the religion that can succeed
in establishing a true relationship between God and man must be true, and the
truth of a faith is certainly enough reason for believing it.
Islam claims
that the creator of this universe is a living god and that he reveals himself
to his creatures. This claim can be tested in two ways. God may either reveal
his signs directly to a seeker for him, or the seeker may come to believe in
God by studying the life of a person to whom God has revealed himself. As by
the grace of God, I happen to be one of those people to whom God has given many
opportunities and in a supernatural way revealed himself. I stand in need of no
further reason for believing in the truth of Islam than that I have experienced
the truth in my own person.
There are
many reasons that make me believe in Islam. I believe in Islam for the reason
that it does not force me to accept all those matters, the sum total of which
is called religion, merely on authority, but furnishes convincing arguments in
support of its doctrines.
I believe in
Islam as it teaches that there can be no conflict between the world of God and
the work of God, and thus resolves the supposed conflict between science and
religion. It does not ask me to ignore the laws of nature and to believe in
things which are contrary to them. On the contrary, it exhorts me to study the
laws of nature and derive benefit from them.
I believe in Islam as it does not
seek to crush my natural desires but guides them along right channels. It
permits me to use good food, but within proper limits, lest I should eat my
fill and my neighbor should go hungry. By thus converting my natural desires
into high moral qualities, it satisfies my humanity.
I
believe in Islam for that it has dealt fairly and lovingly not only with me but
with the whole world. It teaches me not to discharge my duties towards myself
but insists upon my dealing fairly with every other person and thing, and has
furnished me with proper guidance for this purpose.
My
belief in Islam brings me to the awareness of the true relationship between God
and man. It is not forced, but freely chosen. It does not create a conflict
between science and religion, but unites them. It does not suppress desires,
but transforms them into higher goals. It does not influence just me, but also
the whole world. All religions believe in the existence of a God, however, Islam
with its beliefs and social justice concerns, is the best religion for me.

lesson 9
-I was 45 years old when I decided to learn how to surf. - Brian Grazer
I want to keep reading on it because the tittle is very attractive and it looks incredible for me because this guy was 45 years old when he started surfing. However, there is no border for knowledge and no age for learning without knowledge, the man feel that he insulate far the world around him. Everyday there are many inventions, so the man must read well to know the current events around him to gain more experiences. It's great to learn new things as you get older, don't waste the rest of your life living the same path. It's good to try new things and learn the basic skills.

lesson 8
I chose the essay "Do what you love," written by Tony Hawk.
Tony hawk is talking about himself. he has been professional skateboard for 24 years. he believes that people should take pride in what they do, ever it is understood by the public. Many years ago some people believe that the sport he plays is waste of time and dangerous. When he was about 17 years, his teacher reprove and expostulate him in front of his friends in the class and told him that his future was bleak if he did not follow his directions, but despite of those dark days he never stopped riding his skateboard and never stopped progress as a skater. This is about how even though he had a hard time in years years of skateboarding that still did not stop him from doing what he loves and he said that he wont stop and he never giving up for his dreams.
I chose this essay because he dared all people and tried to recover all obstacles and achieve his aims. if anyone does anything he loves, he will be innovator and also, no matter how hard it is you can't give up on what you love. i learned from him a beautiful wisdom "love what you do till do what you love".

lesson 7
Three things i have learned in my life
1. Never trust anyone because if you tell a secret to someone, you don't know what he is going to do with this secret behind your back. Also, you are not sure whether he will say that to other people or not so you will be worried about that. I learned that because from 2 years ago i said secret to my friend but he said that secret to other people that i don't want them to know that secret.
2. Don't judge anyone you don't know by his cover because you don't know him well. Don't judge him before you know him because maybe he could be better than you. You must know a person first and then you can judge him. I learned that because i judged someone i do not know him well when i talked with him i changed my idea about that person because he is a good person.
3. Nobody is perfect because nobody has not made mistakes and also nobody is perfect in everything. Every living creature is only an approximation of an ideal. I learned that because i have never met someone perfect.

lesson 6
1. " Words of wisdom."
my mother always say that to me "Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it".
2 and 3. The two quotations i believed that
-The miracle is not to fly in the air, or to walk on the water, but to walk on the earth. – Chinese Proverb
- “I know you’ve heard it a thousand times before. But it’s true -- hard work pays off. If you want to be good, you have to practice, practice, practice. If you don’t love something, then don’t do it.” – Ray Bradbury.
4. “I know you’ve heard it a thousand times before. But it’s true -- hard work pays off. If you want to be good, you have to practice, practice, practice. If you don’t love something, then don’t do it.” – Ray Bradbury.
This has become evident to me through playing soccer since I was 5 years old and I am now 16. This doesn’t only show through practicing sports but also through anything that you have to work for and want to succeed in.
There is always room for improvement, no matter how good you are at something or how much you know about something. I have found it very hard to improve in things that I don’t want to do. You cannot do something to your best ability if it’s not something you want to be doing; you just do the bare minimum and hope for the best. I feel that way in some projects that I’ve had to do for school that didn’t interest me. However, if it’s something that interests me and is something I want to learn more about, I may end up doing more than I had to do for the project because it is something that I care about.
I see that it is important to be happy in life, but to be able to be truly happy I have noticed that you need to do something that you love doing.
Many people who do not enjoy their jobs come home in a bad mood or are upset and then may cause for the other people in the house to become upset. You’re not always going to be happy, but the happy days should outweigh the bad.
Everyone knows what makes them happy. I believe that a person should try to do what they enjoy doing so that they can prosper and be happy with the life that they have.

People learn from their mistakes.
I believe in people learning from their mistakes. A lot of people I know, have made mistakes, learned from them, and tried their best not to do that mistake again. I know this does not happen for all people, but this happens to most people I know. If I did a chart of how many people learn from their mistakes, and how many people don’t, I bet there would be way more people on the side of those who learn from their mistakes.
One of my examples I could use to prove my belief is when I was three and a half years old and I cut myself with a knife. First, I was watching my mom while she was cooking dinner. She was cutting some potatoes into little pieces for a part of our dinner. She put the potatoes into a pan while I was behind her. I don’t know why, but since I was only three and a half years old, and, I didn’t know what a knife was and what to use it for, I got the knife and slid my finger through the sharp side of the knife. I cut myself very badly that day. I felt bad because of my finger. But I made a mistake and I learned never to play with knives. I also tried my best not to cut myself again.
Most people I know have learned from their mistakes. Probably, I would lose count if I were counting the amount of people who do learn from their mistakes. Like I said, this doesn’t happen to a lot of people, but this happens to most people. So, I believe that people learn from their mistakes.

How do you define hero, and who is a hero in your life?
A hero/heroine is someone who would willingly put themselves in danger in order to save a fellow human being in need of help. They do so with the full knowledge that it may be the last thing they do, like the firemen who ran up those towers to rescue those in need, they knew it could be their last move, but they did it anyway, because they wanted to save those in need of help. They, and many like them, are heroes, and a hero is someone who performs heroic deeds, with no thanks necessary.they perform heroic deeds as in saving lives, preventing harm to people, animals, etc.
For example, if a cop off duty stops a robbery, he is heroic, but if he is on duty does it make the cop less heroic? No.
Let me put it this way, not everyone can be a cop. The cop is putting his life on the line whenever he stops a robbery regardless of whether or not he is being paid.
Firefighters are paid and voluntary, are the paid firefighters less heroic?
I don't think so because they are still out there putting their lives on the lines.
Heroism is something purely unselfish, but once you put a motive in it (e.g. to get time in the spotlight) you lose the virtue of the act. Also one does not need to die to be a hero. My hero is my mother because she tries to do everything to make us happy.
